Please remember that your book reports should be about novels that you are reading in class during quiet reading time.

You should have read the novel within the last month or so. It should not be a graphic novel and it should not be a book you read for a novel study with your class.

For this book report, you can choose to do the same style as your first book report (look back at the previous criteria) or you can choose to do a “newspaper style” mini poster on 11″ x 17″ paper (that’s the big paper we use for projects sometimes).

If you choose newspaper style, please include:

• Novel title and author
• Description of the main character, (or two) including personality traits with evidence/examples
• A drawing and description of setting, including time, place, and mood
• A plot summary which indicates the rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution
• A description of the theme or moral of the story (the main message of the story)
• Drawings including at least one drawing illustrating a part of the story that was meaningful or important to you
• A description of your opinion of the novel, with with an explanation

Newspaper style might look something like this, but you can design the page to fit your information.
